T&E

In our relationship, as with any other, we’ve been tracking the stages of spaces that we choose to share with each other.

Everything happened very quickly for us, and, in fact, we’re creeping up on the first anniversary of when it allĀ really started as we speak. We met in December, completely by chance, at the Singapore airport, chatted as friends for a few months before meeting again in late March last year in Melaka when things just sparked. From then on, there was no turning back, and within a month, E had relocated from KL to Singapore. He proposed in June on his birthday, and we were married on the 9th of September 2009.

Our first official joint address was an email address coined from a term of affection that we made up somewhere along the way while we were still separated by a border, a lot of land and some water, a term that emerged during those hours of chatting with each other on the internet because we just couldn’t — and still can’t — get enough of feeling connected.

Since then we’ve moved into each other’s lives in a much more real and official way, and starting out as newlyweds, there are many adventures to be had together as well as by ourselves in this experience of what it means to share a life with someone else, with a view of sticking together no matter what.

So now, we have yet another jointly shared space of this blog, on which we can keep some memories and reflect on things that we learn along the way, about each other and about ourselves.

What is life if not for learning? And what is a life partner then, if not for learning with and learning from?
